Great news for the MagSafe Battery pack and iPhone 12 or 13 series owners. Apple announced a firmware update that increases the charging speed from 5W to 7.5W to keep up with the competitor's similar products. The firmware can be updated in two ways, either by using it as normal with your iPhone or by connecting it to your iPad or Mac with an USB-C to Lightning cable. The first way will update the firmware within one week according to Apple compared to the second way which promises a 5-minute update time. Furthermore, you can charge your iPhone with up to 15W power when your battery pack is attached to your device and connected with a power adapter of more than 20W.
