The Solution

Mac Plus implemented a local-first, secure automation system powered by Home Assistant, Matter, and Apple HomeKit technologies.

Our setup included:

• Dedicated Smart Home Hub (wired Ethernet) for full offline control.

• Network segmentation with VLANs — isolating IoT devices from personal data networks.

• Matter-compatible smart switches and lighting for encrypted interoperability.
